Keep in mind this fashion tip when shopping for your boot. A pointed toe will elongate your legs and make you look thinner, always a nice thing! These are great if you are more petite.

Choose a high heel so that you are taller and more slimming. A spiked heel will add even more visual to your height. Achunky heel is fun, more playful, these are good for more slender legs, they will add a little weight on the bottom though.
What about age you might ask? Am I too old for knee high boots? According to Vogue and Marie Claire, you are not too old for these great boots. When paired with the right outfit, being age approiate, they are perfect for any woman wanting to add a little kick to her style.

Let’s Face It

There is something about the face that tells alot about someone. The expressions of love, anger; just life! So we need to take special care of this beautiful expression of life.

I love when women have a dewy, beautiful skin.

Don’t we all want that? There are a few things you can do, starting now, that will help your skin look and feel better in less than a week.

1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, Your skin needs water as much as your body. You need to replenish if your skin feels tight and dry. Drink at least 8 glasses of 8 ounces of water a day.

2. No smoking. Besides the fact that smoking is part of being stressed, and stress damages the skin, the smoke also causes damage.

3. Always wear SPF 15 at least, sunscreen more than 15 has not been proven to be any better or last longer. So always put sunscreen on before you put on your makeup. I use Roc .

4. Exercise. Any exercise is good, not only for the body and soul, but it will also increase the blood flow and you will look healthier.

5. Food has a lot to do with the skin. Just like  you were taught, what you are is what you eat. The skin reflects our diet. Some vitamins you want to make sure you get daily are:

Vitamin C

Vitamin A

Good fats, Omega 3

Tomatoes, have an anti-oxidant that helps fight age.

Zinc

Iron

Fiber

So what is our regiment, besides the above?

1. Always cleanse your face, at least twice a day. Use a mild facial soap and warm water. recommended soap is Dove or Neutrogena.

2. Exfoliate at least in the morning before putting on makeup. I love the gloves that you put on that are for exfoliating. Be gentle, but this will remove all dead skin from the night before.

3. Moisturize. Wear cream before bed and before makeup. The skin can never have enough. My favorite is Roc, it works great.

4. If you have dark spots or aging spots, Murad Rapid Age Spot Lightener is great for this. It has  Hydroquinone, the most you can buy over the counter.

Cozy Plaids For Fall & Winter

Image

Let’s go mad for paid! I love the way plaid fabric makes you feel all warm and cozy. A nice warm fire with a comfy plaid blanket and cozy pillows, curl up and read your favorite book…..awwww. ImageNothing screams winter more than plaid. It is a timeless fashion that is easy to use as an accessory to your daily fashion, for just a pop of color or for a classic piece. However, it can be tricky when wearing it, so here are a few ideas to help you get started.
Couple of guidelines:
Don’t wear big plaids on your lower half if you are voluptuous, choose a plaid that is smaller and more streamline to the appearance.
Image
Voluptuous does not mean that you cannot wear plaid, like the age old tale, you just have to be more inventive.
Skinny plaid pants are not good for the voluptuous gals, these are great for the smaller gals.
A plaid top is great on everyone, but keep it to a minimum if you are a voluptuous gal, check out the pictures below for inspiration.

Let’s look at some fun accessories. A plaid bag is a great addition to maybe some skinny jeans with riding boots a plaid shirt with an accent bag.
Plaid shoes are great with skinny jeans, a long jacket or cardigan. Remember, if you are voluptuous on the bottom you can get away with skinny jeans or pants as long as you cover the butt area, this can be very slimming.
A plaid scarf is great with say some Spanx cord leggings with a white button down top and a camel collar blazer and riding boots.

Black leggings or a black skirt on the bottom half with a fun jacket on the top is perfect for the voluptuous bottom. If you are smaller on the bottom, wear some skinny plaid pants with a black or brown button down top. Add a bag to a simple dress and you have a very tailored look.
